Sunset Lanes was supposed to be built in Sunset Hills (hence the name), but John Carr, owner of the famous Coral Courts Motel, offered Bill Boje a deal he could not refuse. And that is how Sunset Lanes ended up at the intersection of Watson Road (Route 66) and Wimbledon Drive in March 1960.
Sunset Lanes is home to 24 lanes, 28 bowling leagues, Cosmic Bowls, birthday parties, and "Stretch Your Dollar" days with Quartermania Tuesdays and Throwback Thursdays. There is a full service snack bar and lounge. Want to bowl, but you don't want to miss the BIG game? No problem...there are plenty of TVs over the lanes, in the snack bar and in the lounge.
